Project Background
Leadership coach and author Tessie Watts approached me to redesign the cover of The Power of P.R.E.S.E.N.C.E., with the goal of creating something polished and distinctive that reflected the book’s focus on leadership and personal growth. The project later expanded to include a coordinating leadership journal, creating a small visual system across both publications.
Process
I explored several visual directions before developing the final chair concept, combining bold typography with expressive watercolor elements. After the book design was approved, I adapted the visual language for the companion journal while giving it its own identity through a more hand-drawn interpretation.
Beyond the cover artwork, I prepared the complete front, spine, and back layouts to Amazon KDP specifications, refining typography, color, bleed, spine placement, and other production details through final print-ready delivery.
Outcomes & Take-Aways
The final project included two coordinated publications ready for print and digital promotion, along with web-ready cover files and presentation mockups. It was a great exercise in carrying one visual concept across multiple products while balancing creative direction with the technical requirements of print production.
