Project Background
Stacked & Saucy is a Chicago-based catering company specializing in comfort food with a playful, elevated personality. I initially came on to develop the brand identity, refining an early logo concept into a flexible visual system that could grow with the business. The project later expanded into a complete website and ongoing digital and promotional materials.

Process
The website required more planning than a traditional e-commerce build because catering orders couldn’t simply move from cart to checkout. Each request needed to be reviewed for availability, scheduling, and order details before the client could accept payment. I designed the site around that workflow, using the menu to help customers explore their options while creating an inquiry and approval process that better matched how the business actually operates.
I also built the site to accommodate changing menus, pricing, policies, and seasonal promotions, making it easy for the business to evolve without having to rethink the entire customer experience.
Outcomes & Take-Aways
The result is a cohesive brand that works across both customer-facing marketing and the practical needs of a growing catering business. What began as a logo project became an ongoing design partnership spanning brand, web, content, and promotional design.
This project was also a great example of designing for change. Menus, pricing, specials, and ordering needs evolved throughout the project, so the final system needed to be easy to update without losing consistency.
